About the Artist
Nadine Smith is a disabled, two-spirit enrolled member of the Peoria Tribal Nation and was born just outside of Billings, Montana. She ran Nay Crochet from June 2024 as a small, fiber arts manufacturing business with hopes of self-sufficiency and independence from social services, SSDI, and Medicare. Nadine shuttered Nay Crochet 18 months later due to the local Vocational Rehab’s failure to provide start-up funding. She’ll always love crochet, but ending her reliance on social services is even more of a priority to Nadine after that instructive experience.
Nadine is now pursuing a degree program in the medical field on an academic scholarship.

About Nay crochet
